I GOT A RASH FROM THEIR WIG 🤮 I was looking for a new Black owned beauty supply to support and saw the review for here. I bought the wig off the mannequin as per their suggestion thinking nothing of it, because I assumed it was safe. They only offered 10% off so I ended up still paying $53 for the display wig, which they place in a random small bag they had. Once I got home, I noticed the VERY strong odour (surprised I couldn’t smell it through my N95 mask) and matting. I of course was disappointed by the quality. As I was about to install it, I needed to search for my scissors in order to cut the lace, I am not lying when I say, in two minutes my head started burning and rashes appeared all across my forehead and neck!!!! I immediately took the wig off without cutting the lace and for two weeks I had to heal my skin, the burning stopped after a week. Their mistake cost me valuable time, mental and emotional energy. My career is very demanding and we are currently enduring a huge undertaking. I called the store yesterday explaining my story, the workers said I could exchange the wig. I travelled there during work hours on a break to be told less than an hour later I could not exchange the wig but the owners will call me tomorrow…they have not called me today. No one has apologized or taken my devastation seriously. The rash is still clearing up. And I have a smelly, tangled, infected $53 wig sitting in a bag. Their mistake ruined two weeks during a stressful time for me. I cannot express my disappointment and sadness enough. I am seeing my dermatologist soon and I am never returning here. They have reneged on their responsibility to provide quality goods and take accountability for the negative experience of their customer. I hope no one ever has to go through what happened to me and their pain is taken seriously. Luckly I am privileged enough to afford treatment, take time off and pay for a new install.
