I hadn't been here in over a decade and stopped in for lunch with a friend because one of our other favorite spots was closed. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the food quality and service had improved, so I brought my wife back here for a birthday dinner. The place was packed on a Saturday night and, at one point, a waiter threw a plate on the floor and started a dance. Other staff and patrons joined in yelling Opa! as they danced, which made for a memorable evening. Our favorites, at the moment, are the calamari, roast lamb, moussaka, and bougatsa. We'll definitely be back to try some other dishes on the menu.

I love that it's authentic Greek food and has such a long history in Calgary! Detailed attention to food and service is amazing! I recommend the Combination platter for two to try a bit of everything and portions are enough for three if you add a side of pita bread. The calamari is fresh, crispy and tender and comes with tzaziki. The moussaka is authentic and rich. The dolmathes is a bit salty. The spankopita is light and cripsy. The salad, rice, roast potatoes are good. The lamb and chicken souvlaki are lightly seasoned but are a bit dry. The soup we added is very sour and refreshing. The pita bread is cooked on charcoal so might be a bit brown but tastes amazing! The waitress always filled our water and the server was so nice! Definitely on the expensive side but it was worth it. Overall, recommend!!

Great food, good prices compared to portion sizes. Went on a Tuesday night. Seated in the upstairs corner so it ws darker than I liked. Not a ton of service, probably cause they were busy? Food was a lot slower than I am used to at a Greek restaurant. Would still recommend and come back.

I visited this small, cozy restaurant and loved the warm atmosphere. They have a small bar offering Greek drinks and other popular options. Even though they don't have beer on tap, it didn't affect their great service. The food was outstanding! I had the roast lamb (ARNI KLEFTIKO) - it was juicy, tender, and delicious, served with rice, potatoes, and tasty fried vegetables. The moussaka was also fantastic, and the baked béchamel ("white") sauce on it was unbelievably delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, recommending I try Ouzo, which turned out to be a delightful drink, though similar to Turkish Raki. I also tried Mastika, which was a bit too sweet for a spirit and felt more like a liqueur. Despite that, it was a good experience trying something new.

Santorini Greek Taverna has been in Calgary as long as I can remember. So it's a huge surprise that this is my first time visiting. The food is spot on. Service is excellent. We had a couple platters so we could try everything. Calamari and Mousaka is our favorite. Lamb chops were also delicious.
