Came in today to update my hockey skates. My old ones hurt and I needed to get fitted properly. I had such an awesome experience working with Matt learning exactly what I needed. Now that I’m in EE skates my life is so much better. Highly recommend for trade ins and upgrades on hockey equipment with really knowledgeable staff.

Let me start by saying I’ve been here many times. I really love the fact they employ young kids and they’re all usually really helpful. But I had a frustrating encounter today. I went to return a pair of outdoor kids soccer cleats that were sold off their indoor rack. I was in a hurry and didn’t realize they had cleats on them. They’ve been sitting in my car since November 25th with tag attached and receipt inside right shoe. I go to return for a refund. “No refund on used items.” No problem, all good. I quickly grab a pair of indoor shoes off the rack. Same price. I’m told it’s “way over” the 14 day return policy (not sure in what world 3 weeks is way over 14 days but ok….) they can’t exchange but he’ll give me $12 for my cleats that have a $30 tag attached and have clearly not been worn since we bought them. This just seems like a “hill not to die on situation”. Make the exchange and put your outdoors back up for $30 and retain a customer. Also I might have been less frustrated by the experience if the 22 year old kid didn’t “boss” me 7 times throughout an encounter that I was clearly frustrated by. That’s not necessarily how I would suggest interacting with people 15 years your senior.

I met Isaiah at the store today with my son, who is learning how to play hockey for the first time. He was very kind and thought about the child size in every way and gave me a lot of advice. Thanks to this, I was able to purchase the equipment I needed without knowing anything about hockey at a good price. He's just amazing! And the store is full of so many things. Other first-time hockey players are also encouraged to visit and purchase equipment:)

Before driving 20 minutes, I called ahead to make sure they had adult men’s indoor soccer shoes. The guy on the phone assured me they did. When I got there he pointed me to a pile of shoes (ALL kids sizes) and said that was their selection. I made sure there wasn’t a separate adult pile. He didn’t help me rifle through the stupid pile of kids shoes even. Not a single shoe above a size 5.5 ….waste of a trip and I even called ahead. Great store for hockey. Useless for adult soccer.

We visited the store today to get full equipment for our 3 year old to start hockey. Isaiah was extremely helpful and was so good with our little guy. I was really impressed with how he made it an exciting experience and answered all of our son's 100 questions with patience (most of which had nothing to do with hockey!) - talking directly to him. I would definitely recommend asking for Isaiah if you're taking your young kids in for equipment.
