It had been a few years since we had been, so we thought we’d go back and try the brunch on the street patio. It was an enjoyable meal. It’s lovely to have businesses like this in our community.
The service can’t be beat here. We overhead at a nearby table where they forgot to key in the order, causing it to be delayed. The waitress profusely apologized and covered the cost of that dish for those folks. Talk about taking care of their customers to make it right. Top notch.

I've been to a few pubs in Calgary but this one truly looked and felt like a proper English pub you'd see on TV. It was literally like being in someone's home in the way it was cozy, inviting without being cramped either.
I was served by the bartender-I didn't get his name-and although he was busy, he never was inattentive
I ate at the bar and enjoyed an actual Shepherd's Pie which contained LAMB-note to all pub owners/chefs, a Shepherd's pie that has beef in it and not lamb is a cottage pie. But name's aside, this was a REAL hearty meal. I'd been up since early morning helping a friend get packed for a move and didn't have lunch. So I was pretty hungry when I ate it but after dinner I was FULL.
Plus, it's been hard to find a pub that has a real summer dessert on the menu, as so many resort to a brownie or a sticky toffee pudding. But when it's hot out you want something cool, refreshing and maybe some fruit in it, you can't go wrong with the Eton Mess. It's a classic English dessert and I did enjoy it.
I'll be coming to the Kensington Pub again to try some more of their classic dishes.

I found the fish and chips to be slightly soggy and overly greasy. The servers were upbeat and kind but slow and forgetful. Cool old English pub. Would be fun for drinks I am sure.

Our servers were great, busy place and attentive. The thing I feel I must warn you against for the public good is the mussels.
A white wine sauce with tomato already clashes, but to put sausage in there and steam them give all the mussels a taste of boiled sausage water. Absolutely awful. I don't know how an executive chef approved this.

I have limited travel and my English BF brought me hear and said this place was more a typical pub like where he is from! I fell in LOVE with everything about this beautiful little Pub. Everyone should visit! I can't wait to go back!
