Yum! In town for a vacation and heard so much about this BBQ we needed to give it a try. It did not disappoint, not one bit.
Server Abby was 100% helpful and friendly.
They have live music for Saturday night. Bench table seating was better than expected- more private.
Portions were large and satisfying. We shared them so we could try a variety.
Burnt Ends- moist and crispy with good flavor. Ribs - fell off the bone. Sides we tried - broccoli salad, watermelon salad with mint- it was nice and lightly flavored with mint not over powering. Green beans - fresh with crispy dried onions. Corn bread delicious and moist! Not crumbly and dry like most.
So glad we came. They are a keeper on our list.
If you like WHISKEY - WOW - this is your place to visit!

A Mixed Experience
Hayden BBQ has its ups and downs. The service was decent, but the food took quite a long time to arrive. I was really looking forward to the brisket, but it was a mixed bag; some pieces were very dry while others were good. The mac and cheese, however, was a highlight—loaded with real cheese and the bacon was a nice touch. The smoked wings, unfortunately, were overcooked and too dry for my taste. BBQ can be pricey, and for a place specializing in smoked meats, this visit fell short of my expectations.
Note: Street parking and it can be challenging to get a decent spot. We had to park a few blocks down and walk up to the restaurant.

Delicious BBQ. The staff is very courteous and willing to help a couple of tourists make up their minds and suggest great foods.
The value is incredible for the portions. I haven't had southern BBQ in a long time and this place hit the spot. Seemed very popular by the locals as well!

If you do takeout, make sure to ask for some sauces! Ordered the brisket sandwich and it was just the meat in the bun without any bbq sauce, so flavour was lacking big time. Macaroni salad and cornbread were alright, nothing special.
The service was friendly and they prepared my order really quickly. I imagine dining in would be a better experience as my friends mentioned they have a lot of great sauces to try at the table.

I spent $82 for two people and ordered takeout for the cabin. Ive eaten at the restaurant before and really enjoyed the food and quantity of food. This however was not worth the $82 spent. The ribs were inedible, no meat and all cartilage and fat. The brisket was all fat. We got 3 slivers of turkey breast. The burnt ends were okay. I definitely regret getting takeout from here. Never have i spent that kind of money and went hungry. Very dissapointing.
