Brett Carlson handled my case with the upmost professionalism and I was greatly surprised and pleased to find a lawyer that demonstrates empathy. My experience with this firm was consistent with many of their clients feedback! The consultation went great Brandi made it sound like she was created to fight for her clients However, as soon as I retained her and specially after signing the retainer i relized that I made a huge mistake but out of desperation I thought I’ll stick it out and hope she’ll feel for me and my kids. Another mistake! She is without a doubt the most insensitive, unethical, careless person I have ever met! Cold, cold,cold! Please do not use this firm unless you read , research and believe the lowest rating feedback. I will be filing complaints against this firm with law society of Alberta as soon as I have time to do so and I am hoping other victims of this firm will follow suit.

I retained Davidson Fraese to draft a cohabitation agreement in March. My first free consultation phone call went great but that was the first and last positive interaction I had with my lawyer, Alana. When I received the first request for information they did not elaborate on what they actually needed to draft the agreement so I arrived to the first meeting with an incomplete package for them to work from. This opened the door for them to communicate back and forth with me more times than I thought necessary which ultimately added time and money onto my bill. This would be a common theme over the next month and a half. When I received drafts of the agreement they continued to ask for more and more information, make notes about things to discuss with me but not actually discuss them and also make changes that were not required or requested. Several weeks into the process I received a letter advising me that Alana was leaving the firm and my file would be handed off to a more senior, more expensive lawyer and dealt with when they had time. At this point I asked for the agreement to be finalized and my file closed. It took 3 times asking them to close my file, a phone call to follow up and over two weeks to finally get an agreement that still has errors. I would not recommend Davidson Fraese as they are unable to provide an accurate, complete document in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost.
