FINALLY tried Ten Foot Henry! It's been on our list for years, went last night for a wonderful Sunday evening supper.
10 out of 10 for food, service and wine selection! We started with their famous cauliflower dish, then onto their Kale Pesto Pasta, and ended with their Salmon and Chicken dishes. Everything was so so fresh, the combination of spices, sauces and pairings on each dish we're just something I've never tried but they knocked it out of the park! Hubby even loved it and he's a picky eater.
Service was amazing, we never had to pour our own wine or water. And for four dishes that are meant to share, we had two boxes of takeout to take home. Prices are really reasonable for downtown, you're looking at around $15-35/dish. I recommend a reso as they do fill up quite quickly, even on a Sunday evening.

We sat at the counter right by the kitchen and it was awesome to see the chefs cook the meals! Every plate that comes out gets checked and prepped to perfection. We had the chicken, pesto and the spicy potatoes. The dishes are served family style and it’s worth to try a few different dishes! We generally avoid eating chicken at restaurants but their chicken, even the white meat by itself was very well seasoned. Would definitely visit again. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends!

One of my favourite restaurants in Calgary since it opened years ago. The whipped feta and tomatoes are to die for but really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Well executed and presented, local and fresh ingredients and suppliers, sometimes the music is a little loud to hold a conversation but it adds to the atmosphere.

We discovered this little place only recently when friends raved. Very sweet and quaint brunch stop. Family sharing is encouraged. We had the omelette, tomatoes, and cauliflower. It was so good we added a second helping of the tomatoes and cauliflower. Our server's name was Tyson and we ordered every recommendation from drinks, to drip, to food. He further recommended we have some dessert...he was right. Perhaps a little glutinous, however, well worth it! We had Butterscotch Pudding, Coconut Cake, and Cheesecake Cream Puff. And by the way folks, the Butterscotch Pudding had sponge toffee on top and was a feature in a magazine (cannot remember which). OH, by the way, Ten Foot Henry, nice touch on the coffee, I noticed the cinnamon stick brewed with the drip. Bravo.

This restaurant has the highest ratings in downtown, so we wanted to give it a try. The service was great, and the food came out fast. I was happy to see they had a lot of vegetarian options. The dishes looked amazing, but honestly, we were a bit let down. The beets were fantastic, but the salmon and potatoes had too much sauce, and the steak and pasta didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It was a good experience, but the food didn’t live up to the hype.
